Assignment Description:
- Gina Krog is an oil and gas field located 30 km north of Sleipner and Eirin gas/condensate field is located 35 km north of Sleipner and 9 km from Gina Krog. - Water depth for the Gina Krog jacket is approximately 115m.
- The detail engineering and procurement for the topside will be executed in Kuala Lumpur and the Construction will take place at Contractor's yard in Okpu in Korea.
- A dedicated Company Topside EPCH follow-up team (approx. 30 persons) is established in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and will follow the detail engineering and procurement until construction starts autumn 2014. The follow up team will then move to Korea.
- The LQ will be constructed in Norway. A dedicated follow-up team is established to follow up the LQ. The LQ will be transported directly to the offshore field for hook-up.

Gina Krog topside consists of the following modules:
- MSF - Main support frame
- Process module
- Utility Module
- Flare
- Living quarter (constructed in Norway)
- The jacket is constructed in the Netherlands under a separate contract
- All modules will be commissioned as far as possible at the construction yard before they are transported separately to the field for hook-up and further commissioning and hand over to Operation.
- We are seeking a discipline structural engineer for follow up of secondary steel during the detailed engineering in Kuala Lumpur until end of October 2014, with an option to follow construction in South Korea to April 2016

The primary objectives includes following:
- To ensure Health, Safety and Environment has the highest priority in all activities undertaken by Engineering and Design personnel.
- High focus on key challenges, areas of concern and close follow up of these.
- Good risk understanding and monitoring of these and establishing of mitigation actions.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve these.
- Manage the detailed design engineering and the following construction activities for the platform topside structural steel structures including co-ordination with the various discipline groups.
- To support and assist the work of the EPCH engineers and designers.
- High focus on weight optimization and lifting weights.
- To ensure completing all review and activities for the discipline within the approved schedule.
- Provide technical guidance on the application of codes and standards with respect to structural engineering.
- Approve and document deviations from mandated codes, standards and project design criteria.
- Approve authority for engineering documents within the structural discipline.
- Produce recommendations for improvements.
- Ability to perform and/or participate in hazard analyses.
- Fully competent in offshore plant structural engineering and through knowledge of all relevant unit operations.
- Familiar with applicable industry standards and practices and recommended practices.

Competence requirements:
- Master or Bachelor Degree in Structural Steel Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 8 years’ experience from structural steel engineering within major offshore oil/gas projects – including capacity of lead or as a principal engineer with cost, planning and scheduling knowledge.
- Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices for offshore topside platform structures for all phases of a project.
- Through knowledge of structural steel structures is essential.
- Must be able to supervise and manage development of a project with defined deliverables.
- Must be capable to plan and participate and follow up design reviews and follow up of shop and field checks during all project execution phases.

Language:
- English (fluent)

Home travel frequency and working hours will be based on the following:
- 6-1-1 commuting
- 6 weeks in Asia
- Monday-Thursday: 0800-1800
- Friday: 0800-1400
- Additional 1,5 hours
- Overtime during the 6 weeks
- 1 week in home office
- 7,5 hours a day
- 5 days a week
- 1 week off - not compensated
- Long-term assignments (stationary)
- Normal working hours are based on 37,5 h/week.
- Overtime is expected.
- 2 home travels per year, in addition to mob./demob.
