A leading International Civil Infrastructure Company, working heavily in the East African market, are looking for an experienced Resident Engineer, to be based in South West Tanzania, working on a Road Project.

The ideal Resident Engineer will have previous experience of working in Sub-Saharan Africa, and have developed their career within road construction.

The main responsibilities of the successful Resident Engineer will be:
• Full site supervision; including the construction work progress and staff performance.
• Inspection of pre-commissioning works, monitoring quality levels for the commissioning stage.
• Liaising with Head Office to ensure that the project is delivered on time and on budget.
• Maintaining Employee relations throughout the company.
• Work closely with other departments, finding ways to improve the overall operational effectiveness of the project.

Personal Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• A minimum of 15 years in Infrastructure Construction.
• Knowledge of FIDIC Contracts is an advantage.
• Experience as a Resident Engineer is essential
• Fluency in English is essential.
