11th International Conference on Applications of Statistics and Probability in Civil Engineering, ICASP11
August 1-4, 2011
Zurich, Switzerland

The International Conference on Applications of Statistics and Probability in Civil Engineering (ICASP), one of the two major conferences on statistics, reliability, probability and risk in engineering, is realized through the International Civil Engineering Risk and Reliability Association (CERRA). The conferences address all relevant aspects of safety and reliability of civil engineering systems, including probabilistic structural engi*neering, soil mechanics, and risk analysis. The emphasis is on applications as well as on theory.

Call for abstracts:
The ICASP11 event is getting closer and authors are kindly invited to submit a 500 word abstract by February 28, 2010. The suggested themes and application areas of relevance for the conference are uncertainty, statistics and probability, decision analysis, risk assessment, statistical investigations and probabilistic modeling, reliability methods, structural reliability, probabilistic modeling in engineering, natural hazards modeling, probabilistic seismic hazard analysis, life-cycle analysis, human and organizational factors and applications.

Abstracts shall be submitted in electronic form through the ICASP11 web site: ICASP11 - 11th International Conference on Applications of Statistics and Probability in Civil Engineering. Authors will be notified in regard to acceptance of abstracts by March 31, 2010. More information is available on the conference web site, which will be regularly updated.

Invitation to organize sessions or mini-symposia:
The program for the conference will comprise three full days of technical presentations organized into a number of parallel sessions according to the conference themes and applications. In order to facilitate a more interactive organization of the contents of the conference, you are invited to arrange your own session or mini-symposia focusing on a specific theme, presenting results of joint research projects or applications of relevance for the conference. Proposals to organize sessions or mini-symposia should be communicated to the conference secretariat icasp11@ethz.ch by January 31, 2010. For further information please refer to the web page: ICASP11 - Organized Sessions and Mini-symposia.
